Hi, I’m Claudio Rossetto, a dedicated Freelance Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager specializing in the implementation of industrial machinery, lean manufacturing, equipment installation, and start-up. With 9 years of experience at Bridgestone Technical Center EMIA as a Senior Engineer, I transitioned to freelancing to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions for companies seeking efficient machinery implementation without the need for permanent hires or costly consulting firms.

My passion for managing complex projects and driving the successful implementation of industrial machinery led me to freelancing. This path allows me to partner with diverse companies, address unique challenges, and deliver measurable results that build trust and foster repeat collaborations. I thrive on leading projects that bring cutting-edge machinery into operation, optimizing performance and efficiency.

Why Freelancing?

After more than 9 years of leading complex, high-stakes industrial projects for Bridgestone, I made the decision to transition to freelancing. Why? Because many organizations need top-tier project management expertise for specific machinery implementations, upgrades, or compliance-driven initiatives—but not always on a full-time, permanent basis. As a freelancer, I can deliver exactly that: focused, results-driven leadership without the overhead of a long-term hire.

My core expertise lies in implementing heavy-duty industrial machinery, with particular depth in the mixing domain. This includes technologies such as automated storage and retrieval, precise material handling and dosing (liquids, powders, bales, compounds, and chemicals), batch mixing, extrusion, cooling, and automated stacking. I’ve successfully managed projects featuring megawatt-scale electric motors, sophisticated hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and high-precision control systems that comply with stringent quality, safety, and anti-fire/explosion standards (including ATEX where relevant).

Key achievements include:

  • Leading projects that passed rigorous audits for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Applying Japanese lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping) to optimize timelines, reduce waste, and consistently meet or exceed project goals.
  • Delivering multi-million-euro installations on time and within budget across diverse European sites.

This specialized experience translates seamlessly to various industries—automotive, chemicals, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, plastics, or any sector requiring reliable bulk material processing and automation. Companies benefit from my ability to jump in quickly, provide independent oversight, mitigate risks, and drive efficiency—without committing to a permanent role.

If you’re facing challenges with machinery installation, process upgrades, regulatory compliance, or need expert PM support for a defined project phase, let’s connect. I’m open to short-term contracts, interim roles, or advisory engagements across Europe.

What I Love Doing

Project Management for Machinery Implementation: Overseeing the end-to-end process of installing, starting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial machinery to achieve peak performance.

Collaborative Problem-Solving: Working with stakeholders to analyze solutions, evaluate impacts on productivity, maintenance, and budgets, and co-create the best outcomes for machinery integration.

Continuous Learning: Drawing insights from colleagues, technicians, and suppliers, while pursuing training in project management, ISO 9001 auditing, and energy management to enhance my expertise in industrial machinery projects.

Beyond Work

I’m a traveler, exploring the world with my wife to immerse ourselves in new cultures, cuisines, and landscapes. These experiences broaden my perspective and fuel my creativity. Having recently earned my nautical license, I’m excited to navigate new adventures on the water, exploring places from a unique perspective.

Photography remains my creative outlet, perfectly complementing my love for travel. Capturing a moment helps me appreciate its beauty more deeply. Follow my journey on Instagram: @cla.rossetto for travel shots, or @cla.1750 for my passion for cars. Since moving to Germany, I’ve stepped away from the “Alfisti Romani” car club but am eager to join a new local car club to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Additionally, I’m seeking a club focused on rewilding to contribute to nature restoration and support ecosystems thriving again.

Let’s connect to bring your industrial machinery projects to life with precision, efficiency, and expert project management.
